What is a OLM file?

OLM (Outlook for Mac) is the archive/export format created exclusively by Microsoft Outlook on macOS. When you export your mailbox from Outlook for Mac, it produces an .olm file containing emails, contacts, calendar items, and notes in a ZIP-based container.

3 methods to convert OLM to iCloud

Method 1: Convert OLM to MBOX, import in Apple Mail

Can Apple Mail open OLM files directly?

No. Apple Mail cannot read OLM files even though both run on macOS. OLM is a proprietary Outlook for Mac format. You must convert it to MBOX or EML using MailtoPst before importing into Apple Mail.

Will my Outlook for Mac folders be preserved?
